Bio
Parimah Avani is a nomad artist, writer, and poet who has published works, books, and exhibitions. She gained a Master’s in Painting from the Fine Art Academy of Rome and a Ph.D. in Contemporary Art History from the Sapienza University of Rome. A recognized voice in contemporary Persian Hermetic literature and the avant-garde "Other" movement, her artistic journey is shaped by her travels and research in folk and political art. Her works address socio-political struggles, critiquing authority, and environmental exploitation, using transparent and sustainable materials to explore how bodies become battlegrounds, invisible histories, the impact of oppression, the value of resistance, and unity.
