Heroine's Journey is a multidisciplinary project that examines female heroism through the lens of ancient mythological narratives and contemporary reinterpretations. Drawing inspiration from the Nordic myth of Ymir and the Persian origin story of Mashi and Mashyaneh, the work envisions the world as a network of interconnected microcosmic entities forming a unified and harmonious whole. Rooted in the tradition of Naqqali—the oldest form of dramatic storytelling in Iran—the project incorporates reconstructed scrolls and immersive sound installations. Voices and planetary sounds narrate symbolic journeys, reflecting acts of resistance, transformation, and resilience by women in revolutionary contexts.
